This outfitter is located in south central Iowa near the little town of Albia. If you’ve done your research on big whitetails in the state, Albia is known for the world record whitetail. This outfitter has 6-7 private leases that are reserved for bowhunters. Each section may range from 200-400 acres. Bucks average in the 150’s with the largest taken in the low 180’s. Most clients encountered mature IOWA bucks that exceed these numbers. Success has maintained 50-60% with unfortunate shots and others passing on good bucks with Boone Crocket in the area. Each farm has minimal pressure. These 6-day hunts start late October into middle November. Small ranch house and meals included. Nearest airport will be Des Moines. This is unit 5 that requires 6 preference points to draw an archery permit.
