Newfoundland has the highest moose density in North America with about three moose per square mile and some portions of the island up to seven. While the moose in general won’t be as large as those in western Canada, we’ve had several clients harvest over 40” bulls on the island annually. The shot opportunity has been over 90%, and success rate is respectfully around 80%. This outfitter has been guiding archery moose and caribou hunters for over 30 years. They will offer a main hunt from a very nice and clean 8,000 square foot lodge. The main lodge hunt is an excellent option to consider for a combination moose and Woodland caribou or the Newfoundland Grand Slam moose, caribou and black bear. Meet the outfitter in Deer Lake.
