This is an outfitter we have worked with for many years in the Northwest Territories for Dall sheep and Mountain caribou. They consistently produce some large caribou year after year. Several of the top Pope & Young record book animals have been taken from this area. Mountain caribou are the most expensive of the caribou species to hunt, and likely the most difficult. Hunter must be in good physical condition before considering this hunt. You’ll fly into Norman Wells then into Mackenzie Mountain to start your adventure. Season opens July 25 and velvet will strip mid- August.
