The Mackenzie Mountains is generally a location most would not consider for Alaskan/Yukon Moose. If you’re looking to hunt some the largest moose in North America, you should consider Northwest Territories. We work with a couple outfitters for moose on this mountain range, along with sheep and caribou. These hunts are conducted by helicopter access, then backpack or horseback from cabins or tent camps. Our outfitters are bow friendly and will target rutting bulls from September 1 through middle of the month. The moose in this area have averaged 60” for many

years. It’s a short window to hunt these northern moose due to weather and early winters in later September. They take a limited number of hunters each year and have maintained above 95% harvest rate. Arrive in Norman Wells to start your adventure. Caribou available on trophy fee.
