CAR1 Alaska Barren Ground Caribou
STARTING AT $13,500
This registered guide/outfitter is an Alaskan native that has a passion for guiding bowhunters. In this camp, you’re hunting the foothills of the Brooks Range on the North Slope of Alaska. Jay investigated this area in 2015, finding several record book animals the first day and taking a nice bull on day two. They only take four archery hunters per season, in early August. Outfitter permit area covers approximately 3.5 million acres. This area can be very physically demanding for trophy bulls, with smaller bulls in lower elevation. These are remote tent hunts. This area is well- known for abundant grizzly population. Most hunters who grab a rifle will fill their grizzly tag, but there is always a chance with a bow. You will overnight in Fairbanks, then head to Bettles where you meet the outfitter. Your hunt will start with a charter flight from Bettles, and then a drive 2 hours north. Booking for 2025.
Rates: 7-day 2x1 $13,500; includes one caribou and grizzly on $9,500 trophy fee; add charter flight from Bettles, license and tags
