BKB7 Saskatchewan Black Bear
Located on the Carrot River in Northern Saskatchewan, this husband and wife run a solid camp, and both are avid bowhunters. Their area is nearly 500 square miles with a decent mix of color phase bears. They have had on-going harvest rates of 95%. This outfitter does not have a wound policy. Mark has hunted with him on two different occasions. Clients stay in a nice lodge with all the comforts of home. Baits are reached by quads. Fishing is all dependent on water conditions, as the spring usually has the river running high. You’ll fly into Saskatoon and rent a car for the 3 to 4 hour drive up to camp. Licenses can be purchased in Saskatoon at the Cabela’s store. They run a low volume camp, normally only hunting this area two weeks each spring and no more than 4 or 5 hunters in camp a week. They also operate a fly in camp near Stoney Rapids the last couple of weeks of June, when the ice is out. A fun camp with excellent bear hunting and great pike fishing.
Rates: 6-day southern camp $4,650 all inclusive; 6-day northern camp
