When hunters think about coastal black bear in BC, they often think of hunts on Vancouver Island with a healthy price tag. This outfitter is located on the mainland, across from Vancouver Island on the Sunshine Coast. They offer both spring and fall seasons. The area has an extremely high density of bears and the average bear will go over 6’, with a few over 7’ each year. If you are looking for an early hunt in late April and early May the bears are always out here. Hunts are conducted by cruising beaches and estuaries in the spring or hunting logged areas in the fall by 4WD and ATV’s. We had one client from Australia do 19 stalks on mature bears in 5 days.
