We are excited to offer this great archery destination for big brown bear on the Alaskan Peninsula. Guiding this area since the 1980’s, the outfitter is covering 550 square miles on the west coast. Hunts are conducted from cabins at base camp and 12 spike camps. Bowhunters in the fall have taken bear exceeding 10’, with an average of 9’-9’.5’. Fall hunts are only conducted in odd numbered years starting early October. Spring hunts are primarily rifle hunts in the month of May. Neil Summers spotted several bears each day, with two close encounters on large mature bears on his fall hunt. Very few 10’ bears are taken by bowhunters each year in Alaska – this area has produced bears of this caliber in both the spring and fall.
