This Master Guide, based in western Alaska, has had guide exclusive area in the Kilbuck Mountains for over 30 years. This western Alaska area has been producing some of the largest moose in the state. This part of Alaska is more open country with heavy willow patches in lower rivers. Clients will see more moose on this hunt than most of your heavy timbered moose hunts. They only take a max of 8-10 hunters a season. They harvest moose over 70” annually. This is also great area for brown bear feeding on salmon. They offer a moose only hunt or the moose/brown bear/black bear combo. These are 11-day, 1x1 hunt starting in Aniak, where you meet the outfitter then fly into camp. The first hunt, September 2-12, is equally as good as the later hunt, September 12-22.
