MO16 British Columbia Shiras Moose
With many of our clients pushing forward on their Super Slam list, getting a tag for Shiras moose is one of the most difficult on the list. This outfitter is in the heart of the Kootenay’s and his area borders Montana just northwest of Glacier National Park. SCI and the Super Slam Club recognize moose in southeastern British Columbia and southwestern Alberta as Shiras. Mark Buehrer and other BSC clients harvested their Shiras here. They start hunting moose in the middle of September, targeting the pre-rut phase. They continue to hunt into early October. Your hunting from a remote lodge reached by 4WD or several remote trappers’ cabins that are reached from the lodge by horseback. One of the hardest working outfitters you will ever hunt with.
Rates: 10-day 1x1 moose/mule deer hunt $15,900; add tax, license, tags and government fees
