Wild
Boars- These adaptable hogs are found all through Europe, South America, South
Pacific, although the true European boar have more of a bristle hair and longer
snouts. Great eating and exciting
hunting. Very difficult to put down for the count.
They require accurate arrow placement, avoiding the tough “shield” of
gristle over the shoulders. Vary widely in size depending on habitat. In Hawaii
and most Polynesia they tend to be smaller (100-125 lbs.); while in Turkey and
North Central Europe they grow quite large (400-600 lbs. !). Very aggressive
when cornered. Great sport with hounds as well.
