Bowhunting Wapiti Elk in New Zealand
These elk are real sleepers in NZ. They were imported from N. Am. In the early 1900’s and the abundance of feed plus lack of any predators in NZ have produced some very large bulls. Not uncommon to see 350-380 SCI bull elk. The Wapiti elk can be found in same areas as Red Deer.
