Bowhunting in South America
While game is abundant in South America, most of hunting
action takes place in Argentina, where world class wing shooting and trout
fishing is also available. Chile, Guyana, Bolivia, and Brazil also have some
hunting available. Brazil has some famous deer and cat hunting, but special
permits are required and most of the game cannot be exported for
mounting.
Guyana however is recently developing into an interesting hunt location with
good populations of Brocket Deer, Puma, Savannah Whitetail Deer, Caiman,
Javalina, Tapir, and giant anteater. I plan to make this trip in the near
future and will have a more complete update. However, at the present,
Argentina is the popular hunting destination.
