These are the true indigenous Red Deer. So if you want to bowhunt Red Deer on their original turf, this is the place. While “estate” bowhunting of Red Deer is available in Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, France and other Western European countries, Spain and France are the most bowhunting friendly. Remember, the bow and arrow is still considered a poaching weapon in most of Europe and legality is an issue. In France bowhunts for red stag take place mostly in the Pyrenees Mountains (Southern France). Red Deer hunted in the same mountain range, but in Spain will be more expensive. For estate bowhunts, Spain is still the best opportunity with very high success rate.
