Bowhunting has been legal in this country for many years. Originally colonized by the Portuguese, there were never any restriction placed on primitive weapons. Since 1970 there has been a violent civil war going on and it has only recently ended. Only in the last several years or so have a few Professional hunters been able to direct safaris in this country safely. There is a serious lack of infrastructure there as well as some significant poaching problems. One must be careful in choosing an operator in this country.
We have been working with an operator there who has the logistics worked out and and has an excellent (proven) area where he operates. This may be the best "fair chase" cape buffalo bowhunting available in Africa today.
