Bowhunters like Tom Hoffman (NY) and Jack Frost (AK) are the
true pioneers of bowhunting Asia. Other adventuresome bowhunters like Nate
Sisam (CA) also help to break new ground. Although the game is abundant all
over Asia, bow hunting is not legal in many countries. Mongolia, for
instance, has some super bowhunting for Ibex and sheep as does Kazakhstan
and several other mid Asian countries. Transportation can be a problem and
expensive and local cultures must be considered. Asia is vast spanning a
dozen time zones. In addition to a wide variety of different sheep and Ibex,
Asia can also off some other interesting gazelles, Maral stag, Roe deer and
wild boar.
